Mentoring

The central way in which our religion is revealed to us is through study; however, like Socrates, we know that books are no substitute for informed discussion.

For that reason, we assign all new members a mentor. This provides them with the opportunity to discuss their spirituality privately, and ask questions regarding traditionalism, Hellenismos and Elaion.

At the end of the three month affiliate membership period, the mentor can then vouch for the applicant by supplying a detailed personal reference to the Membership Council.

Mentors are selected from full members of Elaion as individuals who have the experience, insight and knowledge to offer guidance to new members. The mentoring process is overseen by the Mentoring Officer, Michael. Any difficulties or issues that arise can be directed to him. All mentors are accountable to the Membership Council.
